As a part of social responsibility, a session was organised by Solapur Siddheshwari Sahakari Bank Ltd., Solapur, for customer awareness on CYBER SECURITY in the on Friday 20th Oct.2023.Taking into consideration the current scenario of CYBER THREAT AND FRAUD. The session was arranged in HUTATMA SMRUTI MANDIR, Solapur.
The session was addressed by Mr. Shrirsh Deshpande, FCS, CISA,CGEITS. The speaker is a renowned Chartered Accountant and CISA (Certified Systems Auditor).The speaker has worked with Citibank New York USA as VP Treasury Controls and Compliance Officer. The speaker is Honorary Member of FINCOP FORUM set up by Pune Police Commissioner to support Economic and Cyber Crime Investigation. The speaker regularly writes for Daily Sakal/Sakal Money Magazine on various topics on Cyber Threat and Awareness.
One thing to be noted in this session was that Senior Citizen’s where present on large scale and where actively participating. The speaker guided on Dos and Don’ts with the real life examples and how small mistakes committed in day-to-day life while handling internet, social media accounts would create a blunder if proper care is not taken and how we could be a victim for CYBER FRAUD. Especially the FRADULENT are targeting the Senior Citizen’s and what care they must take while handling internet. The speaker guided on what is vishing, phishing email and how to deal with the same. Do’s and Don’ts on while using WhatsApp.
Not only our bank staff but also staff from other local banks, advocates, and persons from Police Department dealing with Cyber Crime where also present for the session. The session received an overwhelming response. The session ended up with Q&A session where the speaker addressed questions from public.
